LONDON: A CITY MADE GREAT BY ITS PEOPLE
London has never belonged to one kind of Londoner. It is a city continually made and remade by the people who arrive, stay, leave their mark and call it home. Born here or drawn here, celebrated or unknown, each carries a different version of the city — and together those lives tell a story no skyline ever could.
The People of London will go in search of those stories. From the artist in his studio and the chef behind a neighbourhood institution to the nurse finishing a night shift, the entrepreneur building something new, the shopkeeper who has watched a street change for forty years and the familiar face known far beyond it. Status is less interesting to us than story.
Photographed in the places that matter to them, each person will be invited to share their London: where they came from, the choices and chance encounters that shaped their lives, the neighbourhoods they know by heart, the people they have met along the way — and why, among all the cities in the world, this one became theirs.
The People of London will be a collective portrait of a city seen from the inside — not through its landmarks, but through the lives lived between them.
